About the Speaker

Inspector David Gray is the Operations Officer for Money Laundering Projects in the Financial Integrity Group for RCMP Federal Policing Pacific Region Headquarters in Surrey, BC. He has been a member of the RCMP for the past 26 years. Prior to joining the RCMP, he worked as a federal prosecutor focused primarily on drug offences.

 

For most of his law enforcement career, Inspector Gray has worked on financial crime investigations and in particular money laundering and the possession of proceeds of crime. He has been involved in or led numerous complex investigations involving transactional organized crime groups that are involved in money laundering usually associated with high level drug trafficking networks. Inspector Gray has been a member of the adjunct faculty at the Justice Institute of BC, teaching proceeds of crime courses to BC law enforcement officers.

 

He has also taught and presented on money laundering nationally and internationally in such places as the United States, Mexico, Austria and the United Kingdom to both the business/financial sector and law enforcement. He is a court recognized expert in money laundering and proceeds of crime and holds the professional designation of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist.

 

He was born and raised in the lower mainland and grew up in Surrey. He now lives in Langley with his wife, father, and dog Alfie. He has two adult daughters. When not working you can find him scuba diving locally or in the tropics.

Our annual membership fees effective January 1, 2019 are:

Regular Member:           $40.00
Affiliate Member:           $30.00
Auxiliary Member:          None
