MEMBERSHIP

Thank you for your interest in the Association Of Filipino Canadian Accountants, BC Chapter (AFCA-BC)

Our membership includes designated accountants and students with various accounting bodies in Canada, United States and the Philippines and are working in various capacities in private industry, education, government and not for profit organizations.

To qualify for Regular Membership:

1 ) You must be of Filipino ancestry and you are either

a) A designated accountant.
b) Holder of a University/College degree.
c) Enrolled in an accounting designation program.
d) Employed or engaged in a business related to the accounting field.

2) Agrees to abide by the By-Laws and rules established by the Association.

Other than full Regular Memberships, we also accept Affiliate and Auxiliary Memberships.

Regular Member

Is of Filipino descent.
One of the following:
- Is a designated accountant.
- Holder of University / College accounting degree.
- Enrolled in an accounting designation program.
- Employed and engaged in an accounting related field.
Has applied for membership as a Regular Member in accordance with the By-Laws and has paid the prescribed membership fee.
Has agreed to abide by the By-Laws and rules of the Association.

Annual membership dues - $40

Affiliate Member

Is not of Filipino descent.
Is a designated accountant, or a holder of University / College accounting degree, or enrolled in an accounting designation program, or employed and engaged in accounting related field.
Has applied for membership as an Affiliate Member in accordance
with the By-Laws.
Has agreed to abide by the By-Laws and rules of the Association.

Annual membership dues - $30

Honorary Member

Has rendered exemplary services to the Association, either in the advancement of its objectives or its general welfare, or by significant contributions to the Association.
The Executive Council believes that said Honorary Member can contribute in the advancement of the Associations objectives, and its general welfare; or has been nominated by any Regular Member and approved by the Executive Council.

Auxiliary

Member

Is the spouse or partner of a Regular Member or Affiliate Member.
