About the event

Mental health issues are growing at a faster rate than any other kind of disability in today’s workplace (Canadian Mental Health Association). This situation is further exacerbated by the effects of COVID (isolation from friends and loved ones, the constant stress of worrying over our vulnerable loved ones health status, etc). While COVID is ending and the restrictions lifted and life starting to adjust to the new normal, mental health issues might still linger.

This talk from Laarni Lei Abalos Bernardo, a Registered Clinical Counselor at MOSAIC Youth Centre, will be invaluable in helping us identify, assess, and cope with issues of mental health. It is time to remove the stigma that still exists around mental illness and the reluctance to discuss it openly at home or at work.

Note that the link will be live 15 minutes earlier at 8:45 am to allow for informal chat and networking:

8:45 to 9:00 - Networking

9:00 to 10:00 - Session
